About Us:

Shells Yes! Crab Cake Company is a unique concept in seafood, blending traditional Chesapeake style cuisine with as many of the freshest local ingredients as possible, the highest standards in quality, and the most accessible and convenient way to buy!

Shells Yes! originated in the farmer’s market circuit in Bethesda in July 2011 selling our one of a kind Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes made with fresh local Maryland crab meat and our Maryland Crab Soup.

Our reach quickly grew to multiple outdoor farmers markets in the Maryland, DC and Virginia areas and the popularity and success was so strong that the next step for Shells Yes! was to expand to a full service restaurant.

Shells Yes! Crab Cake Company Restaurant and Bar, is a True Blue Certified restaurant, committing to use at least 75% Maryland Crab Meat. We are the first restaurant in the entire county to be awarded this title.

Our restaurant is also a 100% made from scratch facility. Nothing is pre-made or frozen.  The menu consists of as many local seasonal ingredients as possible, utilizing the farm-to-table method
We are also Chef and family owned.

Our Chef is classically French trained having attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.

Our goal is to provide you with the best fresh local Chesapeake inspired food and the most exceptional service available!

  Raising the Bar:
